Dear Wish-A-Mile participants and friends,
Post-WAM is such a bittersweet time for all of us at the Foundation. We are incredibly grateful for a successful Tour (and a little sleep!), yet already missing the camaraderie and friendship we experience on this exciting 4-day adventure!
The weather was beautiful and the smiles even more so. Even with a few tumbles and more than a few sore muscles, the smiles seemed to get bigger with each mile.
On behalf of the Foundation and our wish children and families, we THANK all of the riders, volunteers, sponsors, donors and everyone who supported this event and our wish kids throughout the year. Together, this group has achieved a record-breaking year, raising more than $1.8 Million... and counting!
The heroes’ welcome received on Sunday included our genuine and heartfelt appreciation for the time, effort and heart given on WAM and all year long. Thanks to everyone's efforts, hundreds of children will receive their wishes in the months ahead and share the power of a wish® during their health challenges.
We can't wait to see everyone again for a very special WAM next year – our 25th Anniversary Ride! Registration for the 2012 tour opens Sept. 15 at noon! Let the fun begin anew!
