Making Magic Mile by Mile with the Detroit Free Press Marathon

Join the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Michigan, and help make wishes come true at the Detroit Free Press Marathon. This is a great opportunity to test your endurance and gives you a reason to run – to grant the wishes of Michigan kids with life threatening medical conditions. Joining our team is easy:
#1. Register Be sure to choose Make-A-Wish Foundation of Michigan as your charity of choice. There is a variety of events to choose from including:
Marathon run (26.2 miles)
Marathon for wheelers and hand cyclists with disabilities (26.2 miles)
Half-marathon run (13.1 miles)
Half-marathon competitive and non-competitive walks (13.1 miles)
Five-person team relays - distances vary from 3 to 7 miles (26.2 miles)
They also offer a 5k Fun Run and Fitness Walk and Kids 5K (3.1 miles) Fun Run
#2. Customize your personal fundraising page You will receive email confirmation with instructions after you register.
#3. Spread the word and ask for support The number one reason why people donate is because someone asked them to!
Benefits to joining our team:
- Participants who raise $100 by September 18 will receive a Make-A-Wish technical running shirt to wear on event day.
- You will receive your own personal fundraising page, so you can do all your fundraising online.
- We will have a cheer station along the route to cheer you on. (We will send out details once they are available.)
- You have the privilege of helping a courageous child's wish come true.
