Wish Granting Process

The magical journey of a child's heartfelt wish coming true begins with the referral process. Referring a child to the Foundation is simple.  A child may be referred to the Foundation by one of three sources:  

• Healthcare providers, including the child's physician, social worker, nurse or child-life specialist
• The child's parent(s) or gaurdian(s)
• The child him/herself

As the Foundation understands and respects the privacy of each family, we do not accept referrals from other individuals such as extended family members or friends. Rather, we ask those well-meaning individuals to contact the family directly to introduce the idea of Make-A-Wish so they, in turn, can determine if and when they would like to refer thier child..
