Believe in Wishes with Macy’s
 Macy’s is giving everyone a million reasons to believe while benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation again this year through the Believe holiday campaign. Macy’s stores will feature Believe stations where shoppers can write letters to Santa. People can also drop their letters – stamped and addressed to Santa At The North Pole – into the official R.H. Macy Santa Mail letterboxes at each Macy’s store.
For each letter delivered, Macy’s is pledging a $1 donation, up to $1 million, to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation and help grant the magical wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions. As part of the campaign, the Make-A-Wish Foundation is joining Macy’s in celebrating National Believe Day on Dec. 10. Macy’s has a variety of activities planned for shoppers, and the Make-A-Wish Foundation will honor many special wishes across the country.  Macy’s Thanks for Sharing program has raised more than $65 million for national and local charitable causes in just seven years. With the public’s participation in Thanks for Sharing, Macy’s can increase that number and provide more support to the Make-A-Wish Foundation and other important causes in our communities.
For each Thanks for Sharing enrollment fee of $25 charged to a Macy’s Card, Macy’s will donate $10, up to a total of $15 million, to the Make-A-Wish Foundation and other charities. Thanks for Sharing enrollments at Michigan Macy’s stores will benefit the Michigan chapter, whose goal is to grant 365 wishes—a wish a day—this year. The enrollment period for the promgram is from Sept 15, 2010 through the end of the year.
In return for enrolling in Thanks for Sharing, Macy’s cardholders will accumulate rewards equal to 10 percent of most of their Macy’s Card purchases, from their enrollment date until Dec. 31, 2010. Beginning in February 2011, accumulated rewards will be mailed to participants in the form of a Thanks for Sharing Card that can be used at any Macy's store or online at macys.com (certain restrictions apply).
